Valley of the Ravens
Researchers have studied the highly intelligent ravens in depth. Television discovered the inner Almtal and shot the series „Valley of the Ravens”. Stars were Raven „Kraxi”, Northern Bald Ibis „Kasimir”, Greylag Goose „Greanafin” and Kingfisher „Almara” — bringer of magic moments in the Almtal. In the nearby Cumberland Wildlife Park, „Raven-Gerti” (Dr. Gertrud Drack) welcomes visitors.
Forest-rich Almtal
Forester and forest educator Fritz Wolf approaches white firs with visitor groups and interviews the trees like a reporter: „How long are your roots? What will become of you?” At the end of the tour, everyone must find their tree blindfolded — by smell, touch and hug: „Is that you, white fir?”
